Solution to poverty in Nigeria

 

Highlights of the 2022 Multidimensional Poverty Index survey reveal that:

Nigeria has 133 million people who are multidimensionally poor, or 63% of the population.

According to Nigeria’s National MPI of 0.257, little over one-quarter of all potential deprivations are experienced by the poor.

35% (almost 47 million) of the poor reside in the South, compared to 65% (86 million) in the North. The frequency of multidimensional poverty ranges from a low of 27% in Ondo to a high of 91% in Sokoto, showing the stark differences in poverty levels between the States…
